  1. Get to know other Group Leaders in your area and coordinate with
    them when planning and selling trips. Try to work together to fill your
    buses. Remember, everybody is affected by higher bus costs, not just
    you.

  2. Start selling tickets early and get a small deposit from each person - perhaps $10.00 per trip. If you can do this, you will experience fewer
    last minute cancellations.

  3. Add $2.00 to the price of each ticket and put it in a "Special Bus Kitty" to cover short-falls when gas prices go up or you have a smaller group.

  4. Explain to your members the importance of everyone making a firm
    commitment early. The sooner you know how many people are actually going on the trip, the easier it will be to deal with any possible problems. Remember, you have options.

  5. Call us if you are having trouble filling your bus. We may be able to
    help you find a smaller, less expensive bus. Or perhaps you can
    even share a bus with another group coming from your direction. We
    may be able to help you with this. But we need time, so don’t wait
    until it’s too late. Call us before you decide to cancel and we’ll see
    what we can do to help you save your trip.
